Blow up the Groove
A 1 track funk single (3m 14s) — released February 28th 2025 on LRK Records
Trambeat are an original soul band from Croydon, South London, formed in 2012 by guitarist Graham Potter and drummer Des James. Starting as a collective of local musicians Trambeat quickly solidified into a tight gigging band, supporting the likes of The Beat, Geno Washington,The Four Aces and Shakatak as well as playing festivals across the UK and Germany. The name "Trambeat" comes from the fact that the band members live close to Croydon the tram line.
"Blow Up The Groove" is delivered at breakneck speed with a funked up rhythm section and turbo charged soul horns over a supremely catchy melody. The vocals take you back to that anticipation, walking through the doors of your first allnighter… and that soaring euphoria as the music kicks in. Never wanting that night to end! "All Killer, No Filler", by contrast, is sultry, strutting bass riff bolstered by jazzy horns and Nile Rogers influenced guitar. Aimee lays down her manifesto for love without compromise, before building to an anthemic chorus you can't help singing along to!
