Don't Let Me Down (feat. Martin Connor)
A 3 track retro soul single (9m 2s) — released May 9th 2025 on LRK Records
What if The Beatles were a soul band? The 7:45s answer that question with their reimagination of 'Don't Let Me Down'. They speed up the ballad to a mid-tempo groove. It's still laidback, but you can move to it – as if William DeVaughn collaborated with Lauryn Hill. They add horns, new chords, and a tasteful guitar solo. John wrote the song for Yoko. But vocalist Martin Connor embodies the feeling of first love and shouts it from the rooftops. The band have been played on BBC Radio 6 Music and Jazz FM.
